Live Aqua San Miguel de Allende will host Journey to Mictlán on November 1. Inspired by Michoacán traditions, the evening will open with a drink inspired by the traditional ofrenda. Traditional dance, live classical music and a candle-lighting ritual will precede a four-course pairing dinner.
Chefs Gerardo Rivera and Ernesto Narváez collaborated on the dinner, which will feature José Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Tequila, according to Posadas' fall and winter portfolio update published October 8, 2026.
At Devossion by Live Aqua Playa del Carmen, the schedule includes Halloween festivities on October 31 and a Día de Muertos celebration on November 2. The property also offers Taco Nights every Tuesday and has a Thanksgiving celebration planned.

Fiesta Americana Cancún Villas and Fiesta Americana Acapulco Villas will mark the season with tree lightings, holiday dinners and Three Kings Day activities for families and other guests.
Acapulco's calendar begins with a Christmas tree lighting in the first week of December. La Palapa Restaurant will host Christmas Eve dinner on December 24 and New Year's Eve dinner on December 31. On January 6, 2027, guests can enjoy Rosca de Reyes and have photos taken with the Three Kings.

The two coastal properties have also undergone upgrades. At Fiesta Americana Cancún Villas in Punta Cancún, 31 Premium Villas have been fully renovated. Fiesta Americana Acapulco Villas has completed an extensive renovation encompassing dining and recreation. Its new restaurants include Moxaico, with Mexican dishes influenced by Guerrero; the seafood-focused Blu, which serves the catch of the day; and El Mexicano, offering fine Mexican cuisine. Additions also include Stelaris Cocktail Lounge, Tercer Tiempo Sports Bar, The Coffee Corner and Mini Golf. The renovated Fiesta Kids Club serves children ages 4 to 12.
Resort development and new guest experiences
Beyond the seasonal schedule, Posadas is updating accommodations and broadening its wellness offerings. Chief Operating Officer Enrique Calderón said the company continues to develop its properties and create experiences for families, couples, groups and travelers seeking distinctive getaways. The holiday programming and property enhancements are intended to appeal to guests looking for relaxation and cultural experiences.
The October 8 portfolio update also listed Grand Fiesta Americana Riviera Cancún as scheduled to welcome its first guests in fall 2026. Plans for the 600-room luxury all-inclusive resort call for 83 suites, 16 restaurants and eight bars, including a specialty mezcal bar. Other planned facilities include a rooftop venue, nine pools, a theater and separate kids and teens clubs.
In an October 26, 2026, interview with eHotelier, Calderón said Posadas was launching approximately 25 new property concepts or guest experiences developed from the ground up, with the aim of offering more than rooms. Among the new brands, Funeeq targets multigenerational leisure travelers with waterparks, bowling alleys and gaming arcades. Devossion centers on life celebrations, with champagne rituals, themed nightlife and hidden speakeasy concepts.
