Confrontation began in the waiting area
The attempted robbery occurred at 7:23 p.m. in Villas de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, a neighborhood in northeastern Aguascalientes. Azteca Puebla identified the barber, who has boxing training, as Joshua "N".
In its account of the footage, Azteca Puebla reported that the assailant arrived wearing a cap and carrying a red backpack, then took a seat as though he were a customer. The barber was working on another client's hair when the man rose, declared a robbery and reached toward his waistband as if drawing a weapon.
The barber struck him in the face before he could draw what he was carrying. At least 32 punches to the head and torso followed, with the assailant unable to fight back.
The customer in the barber chair and another witness stepped in to stop the beating, pulling the barber away. Azteca Puebla and Astillero Informa reported that the assailant then got to his feet and escaped from the shop.

Neighborhood residents and social media users identified the assailant as a habitual robber who accosted passersby in the area. Residents who spoke to Azteca Puebla said they recognized him as someone allegedly linked to local robberies, primarily targeting students and minors.
Local authorities have not confirmed an arrest or whether anyone has filed a formal complaint about the incident with the Public Prosecutor's Office.
